おうちに帰るまでが遠足ってよく聞くけれど、出かける準備をするずっと前から旅ははじまっています。 どこへ行く？どうやって行く？何を持っていく？ 旅を計画したり、旅に必要なものをつくって遊ぼう！

むこうがわへ、行くためにひつようなもの
僕たちはとても便利な時代に生きています。インターネットを開けば、いつでも買い物ができて、なんでも調べられて、どこの風景でも見ることができます。旅に出かける時も、インターネットは不可欠なものになりました。では、インターネットでは知ることができない、調べられない、見ることのできないものとはなんでしょうか？ はるか昔の人たちが、海の先に見える水平線の向こう側に思いをはせ、ふねを漕ぎ出したように、まだ見たことのない、誰も知らない「むこうがわ」のことを想像すること、それは旅のはじまりです。
このワークショップは、以前南橘団地で開催していた表現の森＊の継続事業です。アートならではな自由感のあるワークショップを通じて、アーティスト中島佑太やアーツ前橋のスタッフ、群馬大学の学生たちと一緒に想像の旅に出かけませんか？

We’re often told an excursion lasts until we return to our homes, but a journey begins way before our departure, when we start preparing for it. Where will we go? How will we go there? What should we bring with us? While planning our journey, let’s have fun making things we need for it!

What we need to go to the other side.
We live in very comfortable times.We just need to open Internet and anytime we can do our shopping, research for information and look at sceneries from all over the world. Internet has become something indispensable when we go out for a trip too. Then, is there something that cannot be known, researched or seen in Internet? Just like for a person of the past who is rowing her boat out while daydreaming about what is on the other side of the horizon, behind the sea expanding before her eyes, let’s try to imagine what is on “the other side” we have never seen and nobody knows about. That’s where the journey begins.
This workshop is a continuation of the project “Forest of Expression” (＊), previously started at Nankitsu Danchi. Why don’t you join this workshop that will make you experience a feeling of freedom unique to art and leave for an imaginary journey with the artist Yuta Nakajima, Arts Maebashi staff and Gunma University students?

群馬県前橋市の中心市街地に、2013年にオープンした美術館です。展覧会やイベント、各種公演事業などを行うほか館外でもプロジェクトを行っています。アート関連の図書閲覧やカフェやショップだけの利用も可能です。

About Arts Maebashi
Arts Maebashi is the city museum opened at the center of Maebashi in 2013. We organize the exhibition, the event, and also community art project.

中島佑太プロフィール
1985年群馬県前橋市生まれ、荒牧小学校、南橘中学校卒業。
幼少期を南橘団地で過ごしたアーティスト。北部スターズの前身である関根ファイターズで野球を始め、現在も趣味として草野球を楽しむ。「野球っぽいから」という理由で、ワークショップを手法に活動し始め、現在に至る。
アーツ前橋「平成29年度 アーティスト・イン・スクール」により、南橘団地を校区に含む桃川小学校の図工の授業に、補助教員のように関わりながら、地元在住アーティストとしてアーティスト・イン・スクールの可能性を考える。
代表的な活動に、《ぬいかけの植物園計画室》北九州市立美術館（2017~）、小学校の空き教室を公園につくりかえるワークショップ《今日の看板公園》などがある。

Yuta Nakajima Profile
Artist. Born in 1985 in Maebashi, and lives and works in Gunma. From the experiences of baseball in his childhood, he is developing the original concept of an art workshop “Not do everything by myself”. He tries to create some projects in relationship with participants of workshop.
